Bookings with me in Outlook (Personal Bookings)

How Bookings with me works in Outlook: who gets it, where it lives in each Outlook, public vs private meeting types, what bookers see and where its limits are.

Last updated 10 sources

Bookings with me is the personal booking page that comes with Outlook: one link, built from your own Outlook calendar, that lets anyone book a 1:1 meeting with you without seeing your calendar. Microsoft Learn now calls it Personal Bookings and says the two names are interchangeable. It is a different product from a shared booking page, which serves a team, creates its own mailbox and has far more settings. This chapter covers who gets it, where it lives in each version of Outlook, how the page works and where it stops.

The names you will see#

The same feature turns up under several labels, which is why people search for all of them.

LabelWhere it appears

Shared Bookings, shared booking pageThe team version, which this chapter compares against

Microsoft retired its older support.microsoft.com "Bookings with me" articles: as of October 2026 the setup article returns "410 Gone" and the article index redirects to the Learn admin page "Turn off Personal Bookings page". Guides that link to them are out of date.

Who gets it#

Three conditions decide whether you see a Personal booking page section at all:

  1. A licence that includes Bookings. Microsoft lists Office 365 A3, A5, E1, E3, E5, F1, F3, G1, G3 and G5, and Microsoft 365 A3, A5, E1, E3, E5, F1, F3, Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, Teams Essentials and Teams Premium. A1 is not on the list. See which licence you need.
  2. Personal Bookings not turned off by policy. It is on by default. Since August 5, 2026 (MC1418559) the only admin control is PersonalBookingsDisabled on the OWA mailbox policy assigned to your mailbox. The Learn article still shows the old EWS check commands above the new ones, which sends admins to the wrong place.
  3. The Bookings app enabled for your account. Shared Bookings does not need to be on for the organization, but the app does.

If any of these fails, why you can't create a Bookings with me page walks through the fixes, including GCC.

Where it lives in Outlook#

Microsoft documents two entry points: book.ms in a browser, and the Bookings app added to the left rail of Outlook or Teams (Apps, search for Microsoft Bookings, Add, then pin it). Either way you land on the Bookings home page, where the Personal booking page section holds your meeting types. Beyond that, the route depends on which Outlook you use.

OutlookHow you reach Bookings with me (as of October 2026)
Outlook on the webThe Bookings app on the left rail. 2026 Q&A answers also describe Calendar → Go to my booking page in the calendar's left pane.
New Outlook for WindowsThe same as Outlook on the web: the Bookings app on the left rail.
Classic Outlook for Windows, Outlook for MacNo documented entry point inside the app. In 2022 the "Create bookings page" link existed only in Outlook on the web. Use book.ms in a browser.
TeamsThe Bookings app, pinned to the left rail.

Older guides send you to Settings → Calendar → Bookings with me and a link ending in /bookwithme/me. That route has been known to hang on "Creating your booking page". Users fixed it by opening outlook.office.com/bookings/homepage instead.

How the page works#

Microsoft publishes your page automatically with two meeting types, 15 mins meeting and 30 mins meeting. You edit those or create your own. A meeting type is one bookable offer, with its own duration, Teams or in-person mode, hours, buffers, lead times, reminders and visibility. Every setting is in Bookings with me meeting types; the step-by-step setup is in the setup guide.

Availability comes from your calendar. A meeting type uses either your Outlook work hours (regular hours) or hours you set per weekday (custom hours), and only time that is free in your calendar is offered. Events marked Busy or Out of office block slots; events marked Free don't.

Public and private meeting types#

Visibility is set per meeting type, not per page.

PublicPrivate
Shown on your pageYes, to anyone with the page linkNo
How people reach itYour page linkOnly its own link
Single-use linkNot offeredAvailable: one link, one booking
Typical useIntro calls, office hoursClient follow-ups, VIP slots

"Private" means unlisted, not restricted. Anyone holding a private link can book it, and Microsoft documents no way to limit booking to people in your organization. Sharing your Bookings with me page covers every link type and what each one exposes.

What bookers see#

  1. They open your link. Depending on their account and browser, they may first see Sign in or Continue as guest.
  2. They pick a meeting type, then a date and time. Times show in their own time zone.
  3. They enter their name, email address and optional notes. There are no other fields.
  4. If the page requires it, Microsoft emails them a 6-digit code, and the booking exists only once they enter it. You can't turn this off; see the email verification answer.
  5. Both of you get a confirmation email, and the meeting goes on your Outlook calendar.

Bookers need no licence and no Microsoft account.

Where bookings show up#

Each booking becomes an event in your Outlook calendar, with a Teams link if the meeting type is online, and Microsoft says you also get a notification. That is the whole record. There is no bookings list, no export and no report, and the Personal booking page section of the Bookings home page shows your meeting types, not the bookings made against them. The Graph Bookings API "is not applicable for personal bookings". Finding everyone who booked shows how to use colour categories and search instead, and missing new-booking emails covers the notification failing.

Limits compared with shared booking pages (as of October 2026)#

The usual workaround for any "No" is a shared booking page with yourself as the only staff member. Shared Bookings vs Bookings with me has the full comparison, a decision rule and the rebuild steps.

Doing this with BookingsXP#

BookingsXP is built for shared booking pages, which it fully supports with an embeddable widget and conversion tracking. It can load a Bookings with me page on a best-effort basis, including a box for the email code Microsoft sends, but it can't remove that code and we don't promise personal-page support. If your website is where bookings come from, pair a single-staff shared page with the widget. BookingsXP is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.
