Overview
Microsoft Bookings login: web, Outlook, Teams, mobile
Where to sign in to Microsoft Bookings: the book.ms web app, the Bookings app in Outlook and Teams, what replaced the mobile app, and fixes if it won't open.
Last updated 14 sources
To log in to Microsoft Bookings, go to book.ms and sign in with your Microsoft 365 work or school account. There's no separate Bookings username or password. You can also add the Bookings app to the left rail in Outlook on the web, the new Outlook for Windows or Teams. There is no Bookings phone app any more: Microsoft retired the iOS and Android apps on 15 July 2023, so on a phone you use book.ms in the browser.
Customers never log in to manage Bookings. They use the public booking page link, which needs no account unless you restrict it.
Every place you can use Bookings (as of October 2026)#
| Where | How to open it | What works there | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bookings web app | book.ms, or Bookings in the Microsoft 365 app launcher | Everything: personal page, shared pages, all settings, the TSV export | The FAQ says appointments can only be edited here, not in Outlook |
| Outlook on the web | Apps in the left rail, search Microsoft Bookings, Add, then pin it | The same web app inside Outlook | Needs Outlook on the web enabled for the user |
| New Outlook for Windows | The same Apps route | The Bookings app. Microsoft announced Bookings with me for the new Outlook in 2023 (MC532606) | Microsoft doesn't document Bookings in classic Outlook for Windows |
| Teams | Apps, search Bookings, Add, pin it | What the FAQ calls "a lightweight version" for day-to-day work, with a link out to the web app | Not supported in GCC, GCC High, DoD or the sovereign clouds |
| Phone or tablet | book.ms in the mobile browser | The web app | The iOS and Android apps stopped working on 15 July 2023 |
| Public booking page (customers) | The page link you share | Booking, rescheduling and cancelling | Asks for sign-in only if the page or tenant is restricted |
Microsoft Learn documents the same two routes for shared and personal pages: book.ms, or the Bookings app in Outlook or Teams. Once you're in, the home page has a Personal booking page section and a Shared booking pages section. To switch between shared pages, use the caret next to the business name. The FAQ calls that drop-down the only combined view of your pages.
The sign-in addresses#
book.ms is the address Microsoft gives on Learn. It's a short link, not where the app lives. When we followed these addresses on 20 October 2026, without signing in, this is where they ended up:
| Address | Ends up at |
|---|---|
book.ms | outlook.office.com/bookings/, then bookings.cloud.microsoft/bookings/ |
outlook.office.com/bookings/homepage | bookings.cloud.microsoft/bookings/homepage |
outlook.office.com/owa/?path=/bookings (older bookmarks) | outlook.office.com/bookings/, then bookings.cloud.microsoft/bookings/ |
outlook.office.com/bookwithme/ | bookings.cloud.microsoft/bookwithme/ |
The new host comes from the cloud.microsoft domain, the single domain Microsoft is moving its user-facing Microsoft 365 apps to. If your network uses URL allow lists, Microsoft says to include *.cloud.microsoft to avoid connectivity problems. A Bookings app that loads at home but not in the office can be a sign that it's missing. An older change still matters for allow lists too. In 2023 public booking links moved from /owa/calendar/<address>/bookings/ to /book/<address>/ (MC528980), and Microsoft asked admins to allow the new pattern.
For public pages, https://outlook.office.com/book/<mailbox address>/ is the format the Bookings web app hands out. The same pages are also served from bookings.cloud.microsoft, the host the booking page itself now calls. Share whatever link the Booking page tab gives you rather than building one by hand.
Who can sign in, and what they see#
Bookings uses ordinary Microsoft Entra sign-in. What happens after that depends on four things:
- A licence that includes Bookings, with the Microsoft Bookings app ticked for the user. See which licence Bookings needs.
- Bookings turned on for the organization. If Allow your organization to use Bookings is off, nobody can open shared pages, existing ones included. Bookings with me has its own switch and keeps working, provided the user still has the Bookings app.
- An Exchange Online mailbox with Outlook on the web enabled. Bookings is cloud-only. The Teams admin article says on-premises mailboxes aren't supported, and the FAQ says Bookings doesn't work in a hybrid environment. A missing or on-premises mailbox gives "Mailbox not found".
- A role on the page. A shared page only shows up in your list if you're on its staff with a role that can open it.
Microsoft pages disagree on that last point. The FAQ says pages are available to staff in the Administrator or Viewer role. The staff roles article describes Team member and Scheduler roles that manage bookings in the mailbox, and says only Guest can't open it. As of October 2026 we treat Guest as the only role that definitely can't open the page. What each staff role can do compares them.
A Global Administrator doesn't see every page automatically. They can list the booking mailboxes in Exchange and Entra ID, but a page only opens in Bookings for its staff, or for someone given Full Access to the mailbox. The admin checklist covers granting that.
The Bookings app in Teams#
The Teams app runs on the same booking mailboxes as the web app, so nothing needs syncing. What to know as of October 2026:
- Prerequisites: an Exchange Online mailbox, Bookings on for the organization, a Bookings licence, and a licence that supports Teams meeting scheduling for every user and every staff member who joins appointments.
- Clouds: not available in GCC, GCC High, DoD or the sovereign clouds, according to both the Teams admin article and the Bookings service description.
- Pinning: admins can pin it for selected users with a Teams app setup policy.
- Editing group services: Microsoft says editing a group service from the Teams app resets its attendee limit to 1. Edit group services in the web app.
- Thin documentation: the support article "Overview of the Bookings app in Teams" now redirects to the general Bookings overview on Microsoft Learn. The Teams admin article is what's left that is specific to Teams.
Teams Premium adds SMS reminders and other advanced appointment features. Those are covered in Teams meetings and virtual appointments.
Bookings on a phone#
The Bookings mobile apps are gone:
| Date | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| September 2022 | Microsoft announced it would remove the apps from the App Store and Google Play | Message center post MC441066, cited in MC590142 |
| February 2023 | The apps were removed from both stores. Existing installs kept working | MC590142; Petri, June 2023 |
| 15 July 2023 | The apps stopped working. Microsoft pointed users to "a mobile friendly web version" at book.ms | MC590142 |
As of October 2026, then, you run Bookings on a phone by opening book.ms in the mobile browser. The Microsoft article on group attendees still refers to editing "from the mobile app", which is an out-of-date reference to the retired app. Microsoft doesn't document Bookings with me inside the Outlook mobile app. Use the web app, or copy your link once and keep it handy.
Customers booking from a phone use the same public page in their browser. The problems on phones are usually embeds: a fixed-height iframe cuts off the time picker. See iframe height on mobile.
When you can't sign in or can't find Bookings#
| What you see | Most likely cause | Go to |
|---|---|---|
| No Bookings in the app launcher or Apps list | Licence, per-user app toggle or org-wide switch | Licence requirements, turning Bookings off for users |
| "Mailbox not found" | No Exchange Online mailbox, OWA disabled, or the mailbox is on-premises | Mailbox not found |
| Only Shared booking pages, no personal page, or "You do not have access to Bookings with me" | PersonalBookingsDisabled policy, A1 licence, or cloud | Can't create a Bookings with me page |
| Stuck on "Creating your booking page" | Setup stalled on an old link | Open outlook.office.com/bookings/homepage directly, as in setting up Bookings with me |
| A shared page you created has disappeared | Different account, changed role, or the page was deleted | Can't find a Bookings page |
| You can't create a shared page | BookingsMailboxCreationEnabled is off for your policy | Turning Bookings off for users |
| Customers are asked to sign in | Page or tenant restricted to your organization | Sign-in required |
| The page or app is stuck loading | A Microsoft incident, a sign-in setting, an old link or the browser cache | Page not loading |
| Your Bookings with me link doesn't work for others | Wrong link type or a private meeting type | Bookings with me link not working |
After an admin changes a tenant setting, wait before testing again. Microsoft says Org settings changes can take up to four hours to apply. Any other symptom is in Microsoft Bookings troubleshooting.
