About
Built for the questions Microsoft Bookings users kept asking.
BookingsXP exists because a lot of organisations run on Microsoft 365, use Microsoft Bookings, and have been asking the same few questions for years without an answer.
The questions
Asked in public, left unanswered.
01
“Microsoft Bookings – Analytics”
A Microsoft Q&A thread asking where the booking analytics are. More than 70 people clicked “I have the same question”. It has had no answer since 2020, and it is now locked.
02
Prefilling the booking form
Another thread, with more than 90 people asking the same thing: how to pass a name and email into the Bookings page so a known customer does not type them again.
03
Telling other systems about a booking
Microsoft Bookings has no webhooks. When a booking is made, there is no simple way to let a CRM, a Slack channel or an ad platform know.
04
Putting it on your own website
Embedding the Bookings page means an iframe of Microsoft's page. It cannot be styled to match your site, and it cannot tell your analytics that someone booked.
Why not switch
Moving to another scheduler is often not an option.
The usual advice is to move to Calendly or a similar tool. For many organisations that is not possible. IT has standardised on Microsoft 365, staff calendars live in Exchange, and a new scheduling vendor means another security review, another set of accounts and another place for customer data to sit.
So BookingsXP takes the other route. It keeps Microsoft Bookings exactly where it is and adds the parts people were asking for: a booking widget that matches your website, prefill, conversion tracking for GA4, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn, the ad source of every booking written into Microsoft Bookings, webhooks, and Teams and Slack alerts.
Principles
How we build it.
- Microsoft stays the system of record.
- Every booking is created in Microsoft Bookings. It lands in Outlook and Teams, and Microsoft sends the invite and the reminders. BookingsXP adds to that; it does not replace it or keep a rival calendar.
- Store nothing unless you switch it on.
- By default BookingsXP keeps no customer names or emails, only anonymous funnel counts. If you want a copy of each booking for exports, webhooks or the API, you turn on Store bookings for that widget.
- Honest numbers.
- The dashboard counts what actually happened in the widget. We do not model, pad or extrapolate conversions, and ad platforms are told about bookings that were made, not estimates.
- No keys to your tenant.
- BookingsXP reads your public Bookings page, the same page any visitor sees. No Microsoft sign-in, no admin consent, no Graph permissions for your IT team to review.
