Short answer

No, not with your own image. As of October 2026 a shared Microsoft Bookings page has no banner or background image setting: the only visual controls are one logo and a colour theme. "Bookings with me" personal pages let you choose one of Microsoft's predesigned banner images, but you can't upload your own. To show your banner, put the booking page inside a page on your own site and place the banner above it.

What each page type offers#

Shared booking pageBookings with me
Your own banner imageNoNo
Predesigned bannerNoYes, Microsoft's set only
Background imageNoNo
Background colourOnly through the colour themeNo
LogoYes, one per pageNo
Colour themeYesNo

The logo and colours answer covers where the logo and theme settings live and what Microsoft's Graph API exposes. This page goes deeper on banners and backgrounds.

The Bookings with me banner#

Microsoft's article "Customize your banner image in your personal booking page" is the only banner feature Microsoft documents, and it covers personal pages only. It describes the banner as "a visually engaging header displayed at the top of your personal booking page" and gives two steps:

  1. Choose from available options. "Microsoft Bookings offers a selection of predesigned banner image options for you to choose from."
  2. Preview and save. Check how it looks on the customer page, then save.

The article doesn't spell out the menu path. Open Bookings with me in Outlook on the web and look for the banner picker in your page settings. There is no upload button. The 2023 Microsoft Q&A thread on this counts about ten stock images. Shared booking pages have no equivalent picker at all.

What Microsoft has said#

  • Custom banner on Bookings with me (November 2023). The asker wanted to replace the stock images with their own. The thread has 43 answers and is now locked. A Microsoft staff reply said Bookings "does not have these features". Later replies called the stock images unprofessional for business use. A second thread from the same period got the same answer and a pointer to the Feedback Portal.
  • Background colour of an embedded page (June 2021). A Microsoft employee answered that changing it isn't possible through Microsoft Graph and Bookings "nor has features to do so at this point".
  • Custom banner on the booking link (May 2025). The support answer: fully custom banners aren't supported. Use the logo, theme colour and business details.
  • Background on a shared page (2026). The answer: custom background images aren't supported. Embed the page on your own site if you need full branding.

What "banner" usually means, and what to do#

People asking for a banner usually want one of four things:

  • A branded header across the top. Use the logo, or your own page around the booking page (below).
  • A background that matches the website. Pick the closest colour theme and style the page around the frame.
  • A notice, such as holiday closures. Put it in the service description, which customers see in the service list. For closures, also block the dates (see time off and holidays).
  • An image when the link is shared. That is the link preview, which Microsoft also controls. See the Bookings page title and link preview.

Workarounds that work#

1. Make the logo carry the brand#

  1. Open the shared page, select Business information, and under the logo select Change, Upload photo, then Save.
  2. Select Booking page, go to Customize your page, turn on the logo display and pick the colour theme closest to your brand.
  3. Open the public link in a private window and check it on a phone.

The logo shows small and there's no size control, so a wide banner uploaded as a logo turns into a thin strip. Use a compact mark that reads at small sizes. If it looks blurry or won't save, see why the Bookings logo is blurry or not saving.

2. Put your banner above the embedded page#

On your own site, the banner is just part of your page. The booking page sits in an iframe below it:

HTML
<section class="book">
  <img src="/images/booking-banner.jpg" alt="Contoso Physio, Leeds"
       width="1600" height="400" style="width:100%;height:auto">
  <h1>Book an appointment</h1>
  <iframe src="https://outlook.office.com/book/Clinic@contoso.com/"
          width="100%" height="1000" style="border:0" title="Book an appointment"></iframe>
</section>

Your CSS controls everything around the frame, including a background image behind it, but not the inside. The booking page keeps Microsoft's background and theme colour (see custom CSS and fonts). Set the frame width to match your content column so the edges line up, and match the colour theme to your banner's main colour. Embed steps are in where to find the Bookings embed code. Platform guides cover WordPress and website builders.

If the frame feels cramped on phones, build a landing page with your banner, a short intro and a "Book now" button that opens the Bookings link. The customer sees your branding first, then Microsoft's page. This also gives you your own link preview image.

4. Ask Microsoft#

Add your vote to banner and background requests in the Bookings forum on the Microsoft Feedback Portal, which the Microsoft answers above point to.

Doing this with BookingsXP#

BookingsXP shows your Microsoft Bookings page as a widget on your site or as a hosted page at bookingsxp.com/book/<your-name>. On Pro, the hosted page's Cover layout puts a wide cover image across the top with your photo or logo over it. That image is also used as the page's link preview. For the widget on your site, Pro lets you set your own background colour or make it transparent so your page's banner and background show through. Under Design → Header you can upload your own logo to replace the one from Bookings. Setup is in profile and page design. Plans are on pricing, and the templates show the layouts. Bookings are still created in Microsoft Bookings, so Microsoft's confirmation and reminder emails stay unchanged, with only your Bookings logo and no banner. BookingsXP is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.
