Embed Microsoft Bookings on a GoDaddy website

GoDaddy's Website Builder can show your Microsoft Bookings calendar in an HTML section in a few minutes. GoDaddy places that code inside an iframe, though, so the route you choose decides whether your analytics see the booking. This page covers the HTML section, a tracked link to a hosted booking page, and WordPress sites hosted at GoDaddy.

In short
An HTML section for the widget, or a GoDaddy button to your hosted booking page when the booking has to reach GA4 and your ad tags.
Microsoft Bookings
Stays your system of record. Bookings land in Outlook and Teams and Microsoft sends the invites and reminders.

What happens with GoDaddy

  • GoDaddy's help says code in an HTML section is placed inside an iframe, not written into your page. The loader and widget run inside that frame, and bookings are created in Microsoft Bookings as usual.
  • Because the frame is separate, the widget's dataLayer pushes and gtag calls happen there. The Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel you connected in GoDaddy's Settings runs on the page itself and does not see them.
  • The loader reads the frame's address, not your page's, so UTM parameters and ad click IDs on the GoDaddy page are not captured.
  • As of October 2026 GoDaddy documents no site-wide custom code for Websites + Marketing sites, only built-in connections such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. For tracked bookings, link to the hosted booking page, which loads the GA4, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn tags configured on your widget itself.
  • GoDaddy's managed WordPress hosting is ordinary WordPress. Use the BookingsXP plugin there and the widget renders in your page, with full tracking.

Set up GoDaddy

5 steps. Names of menus and buttons are as they appear today; vendors rename things, so look for the closest match.
  1. Step 1: Add an HTML section

In your GoDaddy account, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site. Go to the page, add a section, search for HTML and select Add.

  2. Step 2: Paste the snippet

Paste the script and element into the Custom Code field. Use your widget ID, or booking-url with your public Bookings link if you have no account. Keep it inline: popup and floating buttons would open inside the section's frame, not over your page.

    HTML
    <script src="https://bookingsxp.com/embed/v1.js" async></script>
    <bookingsxp-widget widget="w_8fk2m1qz"></bookingsxp-widget>
  3. Step 3: Set a Forced Height

GoDaddy recommends forcing a height for embeds that change size as visitors use them, and the widget grows on the details step. Set Forced Height to about 900 px, then go through a whole booking on a phone and raise it if the last step is cut off.

  4. Step 4: Tracked: link a GoDaddy button to the hosted page

Every saved widget has a hosted booking page at bookingsxp.com/book/<your-name>. Set any GoDaddy button's link to that address, with UTM tags if you want the source in your reports. The hosted page loads the GA4, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn tags configured on the widget, so conversions fire there. It is a separate domain; set up cross-domain measurement in GA4 if you want one session.

  5. Step 5: Publish and test

Publish, open the live site in a private window and make a test booking. Check it appears in Bookings and Outlook, then cancel it. If the section says the widget isn't enabled on this website, you have set Allowed websites on the widget and GoDaddy serves the section from its own address: clear the list for this widget.

Outcomes and caveats

What you get

  • Your Microsoft Bookings availability on a GoDaddy page, in your accent colour, instead of a link out to outlook.office.com.
  • Bookings in Outlook and Teams as usual, with a BXP reference in the notes.
  • Tracked conversions and campaign attribution through the hosted booking page, with no code on GoDaddy at all.

Limits and caveats

  • With an HTML section, dataLayer, GA4 and pixel events stay inside GoDaddy's iframe and do not reach your site's tags, and landing-page UTMs are not captured.
  • The section does not grow with the widget. Set a height that fits the longest step.
  • As of October 2026 there is no documented way to add a script to every page of a Websites + Marketing site, so a site-wide floating button is not available.
  • We have not tested every GoDaddy theme and editor version. If something behaves differently, tell us at hello@bookingsxp.com.
